“We are doing great, like a new start on our marriage. We have had some opportunities to practice what we learned and have been doing very well! Our time with you all was very healing, we loved being with you! Thank you very much for all you have done for us.””

“The Holy Spirit gave you insights that addressed core issues in our lives and your ability to articulate those truths was beneficial in ways that will be long remembered. Thank you for touching our hearts, teaching us Biblical truth and sound psychological principles, and for loving us just as we are. Our lives have been positively changed, thanks and blessings!””

“Our small group gave us confidence to share our story. It was wonderful to know we were not alone in our particular need for healing. Our hearts knit together into dear friendships.”

“Our time with you has been water to our parched souls. You have created a safe place to share our burdens, open our souls and begin to find healing. Thank you for pouring your lives into us.”

Things are different in our home. The smiles are back, the laughter is back and the heaviness has been lifted.”

“Because of the turn around our time at Marble Retreat brought into our lives, our marriage, and for our future, I would recommend this retreat therapy every time. Not much of anything but the mountains, God, us, and counseling. This is a great strategy because it forces it to be about us and our healing.”

2013 Alum

“We cannot thank you enough for the loved you showed us, the tools you gave us, and the way in which you pointed us to the Lord. We feel closer together as a couple, and we both feel more confident about our situation.”

“I came in such desperation but left refreshed and very hopeful. Thank you again so much!”

“It was clear – from the moment I turned onto Bannockburn – that Marble Retreat was a place for me to “belong” – if only for 9 days. Perhaps, it is because Marble Retreat lives in the likeness of “shalom” … fullness, safety, rest, peace, harmony. Perhaps it is because Marble Retreat requires no credentials, no honorary name-dropping, no listing of particular listed “merits,” no set of certain and “atypical” moral failures – only a desire to hang up tattered garments of fatigue, disappointment, strain and stress. ”

“Thank you for the scholarship which made us able to come and for allowing the Lord to use you to make such an impact in our lives. We are holding on to our freedom and dancing before the Lord. You are all wonderful. We left Marble Retreat as new people.”

“You gave us such good direction, compassion, and understanding. God has brought complete healing to us. I am back in the church office full time and loving it like never before. Your suggestion to make a detailed re-entry proposal (which I did while there) was met with such appreciation. ”

“My husband and I have been given a new beginning. We feel as if we are on a new “honeymoon.” This renewed love and attraction is nothing less than a miracle. We are so thankful for the staff at Marble Retreat and for what the Lord has done.”

“I am amazed at where I am today compared to when I limped into Marble in April. I am so thankful ”

“Thank you for all that you did and are doing to help ministry couples receive what they so desperately need. This coming November, we will be celebrating 25 years in the ministry.

There is no doubt in my mind that if we hadn’t have gone to Marble when we did, that would not be the case and, likely, our marriage would not have survived, as well. So may you continue to know God’s blessing as you minister His love, grace and wisdom to those who come to Marble.”

“This is a truly beautiful place here with such majestic scenery and I feel so privileged to have been able to taste not only the beauty of the landscape, but to be touched as well by the gifts of encouragement, mercy, comfort, grace and discernment lived out by the team here.
With much love and a healing heart,”

“If God can work a miracle in our marriage, I know He can work a miracle in the lives of the others who come to you for help! ”

“What an incredible gift this program is to those of us who are broken in the Kingdom. Only eternity will be able to measure the impact.”

We leave this mountain top changed people. Thank you for seeking the Lord with your competency, then so gracefully and peacefully leading and guiding us together and separately. We will cherish this experience and I pray we are able to recreate it at our home and share it with others.

As I leave, I am reminded about God’s word in Isaiah 63:1.......to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”

“It has been a year and three months since we were at Marble Retreat. I was thanking God tonight for the beautiful healthy marriage that we have and the Holy Spirit lead me to thank you for all that you do to help troubled marriages. Marble was like an incubator for our desperately hurting marriage.

We often look at our pictures of our time at the retreat. Marble is a holy alter for us because that is where God brought forgiveness (when I truly did not think it was possible) for an offense that broke our world. God also brought healing and brought the process of wholeness to our souls. It was God’s gift to us. The lodge, the staff, the food, and the fireplace brought heaven to our “hell” and gave us hope and tools on how to mend our marriage.

From the bottom of my heart--thank you. Without Marble we would have been a statistic of divorce, but now we stand as a trophy of grace. Thanks too, for the scholarship that you gave to my husband and me. I love you and we are two lives that have been changed forever. ”
